I<\/span><\/p>\n

think that the problem of migration is not at all ideological, it is simply a problem of humanitarian management. That is why I think it is important to put aside ideology, which, as far as I can see, blinds people.<\/p>\n

Analysing the problem, we see that they need to escape from their countries and, on the other hand, Europe needs labour in many sectors. It does not seem difficult to reach the conclusion that training at the source, from which they would leave with training and a work contract, is the most appropriate. The second possibility is to give this training in a reception centre with training and integration at the destination, therefore, as regards the controversy over the Ciudad Real airport, politicians should change their way of thinking, asking themselves the following question: What should the Ciudad Real airport be like so that it is not a ghetto or a concentration centre etc… and be able to respond to the integration of migrants?<\/p>\n

As an urban planner and architect, I can think of many examples of success in this regard, from the colonization villages that were once a solution for the emptied Spain, the kibbutzim of Israel… It would simply be a matter of providing the place of arrival with the appropriate conditions, training, integration, social relations.<\/p>\n

It would be easy to prepare all these migrants for jobs that the Spanish despise, while in countries like Germany they are well regarded and form part of their professional training. I am referring to specialists in: masonry, plumbing, installations, carpentry, electricity, agriculture, security forces…<\/p>\n

Professionals who, on the other hand, are needed in Spain to solve the housing problem and whose only solution is to build houses or buildings, so they would leave with a job.<\/p>\n

How nice it would be to try the challenge of having migrants train and build their own environment around training places run by world-leading urban planners, architects and builders and set an example for the whole world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>
