Single-family housing
TORREMOCHA DEL JARAMA II.
The project is carried out in the Sierra Madrileña, an environment conducive to tranquility dominated by vegetation and nature. Access to the house is through a patio, which protects you from the road and brings living spaces closer to the surrounding hills, to nature.
The kitchen acquires special relevance in this project when positioning itself in the center of the house; the fire, the home as the meeting nucleus of its inhabitants.
The shape that dominates the plan is the rectangle, which at one end breaks and turns in search of the landscape, trying to visualize the line of horizon that hides between the hills.
Diverse hollows and large windows try to sift the sunlight inside. </ p>
The qualities of the plot and the slate stone characteristic of the place, were of great help for the conception of spaces, volumes and materiality.
The construction of the house is made through a structure of brick load-bearing walls, metal pillars and unidirectional concrete slabs and an inclined roof, with Hidden gutters that make edges define the boundaries of the home.
Una construcción sencilla, sin grandes alardes tecnológicos y económica, sin tener que renunciar por ello a una estética de vanguardia.
