The project has been developed sourronding a centenary holm oak tree that it‘s in this plot since many years ago. Every room requiered for this house is organized around the tree and around a courtyard that is created from the crossing of two axis.
These axis form the shape of the building: a latin cross plan.
The common spaces are located just near the courtyard and the tree, so from every place you are inside of the house, you can sense their presence.
Because of the top of the tree, we have designed diferents levels from where you can look at this great holm oak. As a result of it, we obtein an unique ground floor, with many different highs that enrich the volume composition. We also have the control of the natural light with the design of the façades and the ceiling.
Instead of this, the most private rooms get away from the common spaces, confirming the courtyard as the center and the main reference of the ensemble.
The essence of this house is inspirated of Mediterranean Architecture and his tradicional foundations. We get natural ventilation and fresh air in the interior of the building because of the construction and the location of the windows. The glassed surfaces are protected from the sun impact with the porchs. There are also many interior spaces near the garden, where we have respected the vegetation and all the trees.
The volumes, the courtyard, the existing vegetation included since the beginning in the project and our care in every detail, in every project stage, are the things that have achieve this satisfactory result.
